The Oakland range of wines is one of Grant Burge’s top exports to Europe. We were lucky to get our hands on a small batch of this cracking wine!

Tasting notes

This perfectly aged 2006 Cabernet Shiraz is a typical Cabernet style wine with a deep rich red colour and vibrant purple hues.

The complex array of aromas which makes it such a great drinking wine shows blackcurrants and mint from the quality Cabernet fruit as well as raspberries and spice from the Shiraz.

Hints of cedar wood, black cherries and sweet spices add to the flavour making this wine a favourite with many seasoned wine drinkers. The palate shows excellent balance and length with firm Cabernet tannins and the fleshy fruit characters of Shiraz.

Tasting notes

From the moment it hits your tongue you will love this refreshingly fruity 2007 Chardonnay. The wine is light in colour with tastes of tropical fruits, with peach and pineapple aromas bursting from the glass. Subtle hints of green melon aromas compliment this wine perfectly.

The wine is smooth and crisp and with its medium bodied flavour, this lively wine shows delicious richness of fruit on the palate.

This 2007 Chardonnay is perfect for drinking now and is truly a satisfying unoaked chardonnay which is an ideal accompaniment to many dishes.
